As the state of Illinois, we have come to an agreement to legalize gay marriage in Illinois. This law has been passed by our state government for many reasons and hope that the rest of the state will come onboard. One of the main reasons is because when a significant other is in the hospital and is unable to make their own medical decisions, no matter the gender, the other significant other will now be able to make those decisions for them. Another reason we chose to pass this law is because having gay marriage is not hurting as many people as not having gay marriage would. If you do not agree with this law you do not need to pay attention to it because it does not apply to you. This law is legal in 36 states but we are proud to say we have finally decided to make gay marriage legal in Illinois, making it 37 states.
