CHARLESTON, ILL. – The Undergraduate Research Task Force worked with the Honors College to organize the Student Research and Discovery Conference. The day will begin with a welcome address from President Glassman and Provost Blair Lord and an awards ceremony recognizing the Faculty Research Mentors who sponsored the students.
The annual event will take place from 12:15 – 4:00 p.m. on March 31 in the MLK Union. The event is free and open to all students, faculty, and staff.
Poster displays will be available from 12:50 – 1:50 p.m. and from 2 – 3 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom. Student artwork, oral presentations, panels, and performances will be held on the third floor during the same time. For a more detailed schedule visit https://www.eiu.edu/studentresearch/
The Undergraduate Research Task Force selected the students from all academic fields. “The research conference gives the community a chance to celebrate student research and to share new knowledge, creative enterprises, and discoveries,” said Dean England, who will also be attending.
