You’ve probably seen hundreds of guitar, drum, and rap battles, but the instrument that these two German musicians are competing with is a little more classical.

Paul Cibis and Andreas Kern are two German pianists on tour with a unique routine. The two played a six round piano battle on Tuesday night in the Dvorak concert hall.

The duo took turns artfully showcasing their musical talent and competing for audience votes, each vote earning them a position closer to the finish line drawn on stage.

Kern says this is part of their first U.S. tour, and while different from other countries, the two are thoroughly enjoying their time in the states.

“The tour in the U.S. has been absolutely amazing. Its fantastic to meet so many nice people in Charleston and everywhere else we go. It’s very touching.”

The duo says they hope to return to the U.S. in early 2018.
