As we all prepare for the transition from winter to spring, so does Eastern’s football team as they gear up for spring ball.

Tony Elias, member of the football team, says he feels like last season was badly handled. Elias says he feels the team had a lot of talent, but that they didn’t capitalize where they needed to and were undisciplined.

He says spring ball prepares them for regular season because it helps them get a sense of who they are.

Elias says the purpose of spring ball is to get the kinks out and everyone focused on football again. He says they have an intermission season where they focus on getting faster and stronger and then hop right into spring ball, which he says brings up the question, “Is the hype real?”
